Our physiotherapists will help the patients regain their strength and movement, fitting the prosthesis, standing and walking with assistive devices, learning how to position the prosthesis, sitting, and transition to a wheelchair in amputee rehabilitation. In addition, contractures are prevented with stretching, strengthening and positioning exercises. Swelling is reduced with bandage methods and the use of socks. Pain management is also provided with mirror therapy and range of motion exercises.
